GovDel HeaderNew OIG Audit Released on USPS’s Mail Theft Mitigation in SeattleMail Theft VegasCertain parts of the country are hit hard by mail theft, and the USPS OIG is responding by conducting specialized audits those areas. We found issues with the tracking, safeguarding, managing, and reporting of arrow keys and modified arrow lock keys at the two facilities we visited. These deficiencies left mail receptacles across seven ZIP Codes in Seattle at risk for mail theft. Our report made six recommendations to USPS and Postal Inspection Service management to address the issues we found. You will find more details in our report.Read Full ReportYou are subscribed to the feed for the U.S. Postal Service Office of Inspector General.
